Terms and Conditions for all enrolments

All fees must be paid in full at time of registration.

Students must enrol for the entire course. No refund or credit will be given for missed classes.

If a student withdraws before the start of the class or before the 2^nd class, the full amount minus 20% (Admin Fees) will be refunded. All refund requests must be made in writing before the second class. No refund will be given to any student who withdraws after the 2nd class.

If a student withdraws after the second class and before the third class a credit corresponding to the remaining classes will be granted and valid for a group class enrolment only for the following 2 terms from the date issued. Credit requests must be made in writing.
If the credit is not used within the following 2 terms, it will be cancelled.

Alliance Française de Perth reserves the right to re-arrange or to cancel classes if a minimum number of students is not reached. If a class is cancelled by the Alliance Française de Perth, students can transfer to another class, receive a full credit or be fully refunded.

If the student’s level does not match the rest of the class, Alliance Française de Perth reserves the right to redirect a student to another class level, at any time.

Details on AF discounts are as follows:

• 5% discount is available to full time tertiary students, concession cardholders and senior cardholders upon presentation of a valid student card/concession card who enrol for a full term.

• 15% discount will apply for weekday morning collective classes to any Senior / Concession cardholders who re-enrol for the following full term within the last two weeks of the current term of study.
• 10% early bird members discount will apply to anyone who re-enrol for the following full term within the last two weeks of the current term of study, with a valid AF membership card.
• 5% early bird discount will apply to anyone who enrol or re-enrol for the following full term within the last two weeks of the current term of study.

• 10% discount for AF students who enrol in two regular courses within the same term or for two or more consecutive enrolments within the same family within the same term. (Discount will be applied to the course with the lowest fee).

Please note that discounts cannot be accumulated and do not apply to events, workshops, midterm and holiday session courses.

Private tuition must be a minimum of 2 hours per session and can only be purchased either over the phone  calling 9386 7921 or in person at our front desk at 75 Broadway, Nedlands.
Payment is required a minimum of 48 hours before the first and each class.

Cancellations and changes: 

• Failure to notify Alliance Française de Perth of a lesson cancelation prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will result in the full fee being charged for the lesson. All notification must be done by phone on 9386 7921 or by email at reception@afperth.com.au or directly to your tutor.
• Cancellations on behalf of minors must be made by their parent/s or guardian/s. All communication regarding changes or cancellation must be made by phone on 9386 7921 or by email at reception@afperth.com.au or directly to your tutor.
• For shared private tuition amongst multiple students, no split of credit will be possible once the tuition has been organised and paid for. Alliance Française will not be held responsible for students’ changes in work commitments or personal circumstances when one student cannot attend the group tuition anylonger.

Refunds and credit notes: 

• Private tuition fees are not refundable and cannot be used for group classes.
• Private classes start and finish on the agreed time between the tutor and the student. If a student arrives late to a private lesson, the tutor may not be able to teach longer than the initial agreed time. If a student is running late, we appreciate a courtesy call.
• In special circumstances, when a lesson is missed for medical reasons and supporting documentation is provided, a partial credit note can be organised at the discretion of Alliance Française de Perth and upon request. All applications for a credit note or refund must be addressed by email at reception@afperth.com.au.

Cancellation by AF Perth: 

In the event of Alliance Française de Perth experiencing problems at the time of a scheduled lesson and we are unable to provide our regular services, we will arrange for another lesson at the earliest convenience for both student and teacher. Alternately, we will charge accordingly and organise a credit note for future lessons.

Online tuition : distance tuition will normally take place via Zoom.

Children under the age of 18 years enrolled in a course at Alliance Française de Perth are under the responsibility of Alliance Française from the start time of the course until the end of the course when they are in the classroom.

Parents are responsible for their children outside classroom hours and for as long as the children are outside the classroom. Parents are expected to bring their children physically to the classroom at the beginning of the class and to pick them up physically at the end of the class from the classroom. If your child is to be picked up by another parent/authorised guardian, please inform the teacher at the beginning of the lesson.

Parents will only be Advised if their child is missing too many classes without valid reasons.
However, please note that Alliance Française will not call the parents every time time a student is absent for class.

Late collection of children policy and procedures

Our teachers have commitments and cannot always stay late after class to look after the children. If parents (or authorised guardian) are late, they are expressly encouraged to call the Alliance Française's reception - (08) 9386 7921.

If parents (or authorised guardian) have not arrived within 10 minutes of the end of the class, the teacher will attempt to contact them.
